It’s the Easter holiday, and that’s usually the definition of spring. This is certainly true for the events and activities that revolve around the Old Town this week – a festival, an Easter parade, two concerts and a birding event. Hop to Spring Festival 2022
The fourth annual Hop to Spring Fest takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 16, at the World Golf Hall of Fame. Vendors, charity raffles, craft workshops, Easter activities, door prizes and food trucks will be included.

Tap Benoit party
Also happening on Saturday, blues guitarist Tab Benoit will perform at the Ponte Phaedra Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. Benoit is best known for his “Bayou Blues” voice, winning Grammy nominations and blues awards. He is also an advocate for wetland conservation in his state of Louisiana.

Easter Corniche
One of the many Easter events that will happen this weekend, Easter is scheduled for 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday in the gazebo on the Plaza de la Constitucion. Free for all ages and open to the public, the park celebrates Easter hoodies and costumes, with prizes in categories like Most Creative Hat, Best Pets, Biggest Family and Best Dressed Couple, to name a few.

Birds and Photo Festival in Florida
This four-day festival, April 20-24, is packed with daily activities, field workshops, nature tours, and photography clinics. Classes range from beginners to professional techniques in photography, and speakers will provide expert knowledge in many areas.

Planet Squad Camp Party
Closing the week with a concert at St. Augustine’s Amphitheater on Thursday, Planet Radio presents rockers Three Days Grace, Black Veil Brides, and Ice Nine Kills. All three bands are “hardcore rock”, with the sounds of heavy metal topping the charts and unique shapes of pop culture.
