Samsung screen to show a broad global vision of technological innovation in Show Week 2022

According to Samsung Display, “Since Display Week 2022 returns to live exhibitions after a three-year hiatus, office managers, workstation professionals, and consumers are showing even greater interest in this industry-leading event.” “By unveiling and displaying our most promising market solutions, audiences around the world will be able to appreciate our vision of rapidly expanding display business, enhancing technology and improving color,” the company added.

Marking its return to personal exhibitions after years of wariness of the pandemic, Samsung Display will reveal a long-term vision for the future of the display industry*. The company will highlight self-lighting technologies, which are likely to lead to rapid market expansion, in particular for sliding bi-directional displays; Automotive digital cockpit featuring OLED technology for multi-screen solutions; foldable screens for portable gaming devices; and QD display, which has sparked market interest with unparalleled picture quality.

From foldable to sliding, Samsung OLED redefines mobile screen innovation

The Flex OLED The area, in the Samsung Display booth, is expected to be one of the most popular on the show floor with multiple concept prototypes including Flex Gwhich folds inward twice, and Flex Sfolds internally and externally. The company’s 6.7-inch slide-out product will debut here at Display Week. This screen expands upwards, in contrast to the animated screen displays that extend horizontally. This capability is useful for making documents, as well as social media posts.

Samsung Display will also feature a 12.4-inch sliding display this year, with a panel that expands the screen horizontally — from both ends. This improves portability by reducing the screen length to 8.1 inches, and provides a more immersive visual experience for multitasking or watching videos by extending it to a full 12.4 inches.

New markets are taking off quickly: a foldable screen for gamers, a digital cockpit for cars

Samsung Display will bring a new category to the market with its foldable OLED gaming display that allows consoles to be attached at both ends, but can also be folded in half. Gamers will have access to a larger gaming screen in their living rooms, with increased portability when not in use. Holding the device vertically allows for a multi-screen setup that keeps the screen on top and the console on the bottom, providing a richer gaming experience.

Samsung Display will also unveil the “Digital Cockpit,” a multi-screen solution targeting the automotive market that combines a dashboard display with a central information display. The digital cockpit, which will be displayed in the cabin’s OLED Auto-zone, is designed to provide easy-to-access, accurate driving information without any stuck-on image. Available in 7, 12.3 and 15.7 inch sizes, the glass-enclosed OLED cockpit can be designed with multiple screens. Additionally, it can be enhanced with a number of aesthetic touches including sophisticated curves, true black color and a slim bezel design.

For the laptop market, Samsung Display will offer the world’s first OLED display that features a 240Hz refresh rate, which gamers have sorely desired.

Samsung QD-Display attracts a large audience, with picture quality at its best

QD-Display, which Samsung Display started mass production in November (2021) will also be highlighted in Display Week.

QD-Display is the world’s first self-illuminating display with built-in quantum dots without the need for a backlight. At Show Week, Samsung Display is showcasing three prestigious displays for 55- and 65-inch TVs as well as a 34-inch screen.

Taking advantage of the color-rich characteristics of quantum dots, QD-Display supports the widest color gamut, outperforms any other monitors on the market, and displays colors as they appear in nature. The optical properties of quantum dots and their ability to scatter light over a wide range allow users to appreciate content in vibrant image quality, at any angle.

Also of interest is that Samsung Display will compare the image clarity of its QD monitor with that of another 65-inch TV panel, as well as show the extremely fast response time of the QD-Display with the same size 34-inch screen that uses high-performance liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. ).

QD- Presentation in a business conference session in Outlook Technology

In addition, Samsung Display QD-Display discussed in the “TV Market and Future Technology” session at Business Conference 2022 SID / DSCC employment May 9at 10 am.

*Editor’s note: Show Week, hosted by the Society for Display Information (SID), is the largest professional display fair in the world. She is back to greet the masses in person after three years of online exhibitions brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak.
