Appleton City PTO will host the annual Easter Baking Sale in front of Fika (FI CA) at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 16. Donations will be accepted and can be left all day at the Little Apples Learning Center/Sarah Eye on Friday from 7am to 5pm. It can also be left in front of the coffee shop at 08:00 on Saturday morning. Shop. Please step out to support Appleton City PTO.
Support the AC Track Project with a Rat Race, Mouse Roulette, awesome auction item, and a gun draw on Saturday, April 16. Only 300 tickets will be sold for just $25, including admission, dinner and two drinks. It will be held at the Montrose Community Building, as ACHS has partnered with Montrose HS for the track. Doors open at 5 PM Tickets are available at Powell's Tru Value Hardware and various community members including Brittanni Turner, Tricia Swaters, Jana Wareham, Amber Strope, Ashley Deel, Brooke Powell and Cindy Beebe. The Field of Pride & Track Project is in the final stages of fundraising and funding for the track was over 60% complete prior to this event.
The AIM Club will sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt, which will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Montrose Ball Park. 0-4 years old childrenpearl degree can participate. The Easter Bunny will be there to hand out candy and pictures.
AIM Club will be their 2 sponsorsnd Annual Dirty Bunny Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday evening, April 16, 2022. Before the event, 50 tickets will be sold for $20.00. First prize is $250.00, second prize is $150.00 and third prize is $75.00. Check-in will take place at Montrose Ball Park between 19:30 and 20:15. The hunt will begin at 20:30. Immaculate Conception (Montrose) and St. Holy Week services at St. Patrick's (Butler) Catholic Churches are as follows: Holy Thursday – St. Patrick's Church and 19:00 at the Immaculate Conception; Good Friday - 3:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception and St. 18:00 on Patrick's; Holy Saturday – 8:00 pm at Immaculate Conception; Easter Sunday – 8:00 am but Immaculate Conception and 10:00 am St. at Patrick.
The AC Spring City Spacious Garage Sale dates are set for April 29 and 30. Permits are $5 and can be purchased at City Hall from April 11 – 26. At AC Park, installation permits are $25 for pole shelter and $15 for shelter. Phase 1 is $10 for turf permits and these fees cover both days. Parking permits can be purchased at City Hall on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved over the phone. Maps will be available at the Food Fair, Powell's True Value and Casey's starting Thursday afternoon, and Fika starting Friday morning. The Ministry of Joy House will be in City Park to receive donations from 3:00-5:00 on Saturday. For questions, please call Dianne Foster at 660-679-1125.
In conjunction with the Citywide Garage Sales, County Wide Disposal will have garbage containers available at the City Barn for large-item disposal May 3-5. If you need a large item taken from your home, you should call the County Wide Disposal at 660-679-0717 to request it. A fee will be charged for this service.

Appleton City Museum to open for its 19thpearl summer season Friday, May 6 between 1:30-4:30. Visiting hours will be every Friday afternoon and the first Saturday of every month from May to September. Location 503 K. Maple, one block north of the warning light. They hope you will make the museum a place to visit this year. Encourage kids, family members, and friends to travel back in time at the Appleton City Museum.
Appleton City High School Senior class panels have been updated at the Farmhouse Restaurant to honor this year's special anniversary year. It includes the 50-year class of 1972, the 60-year class of 1962, the 65-year class of 1957, and the 70-year class of 1952. Drop by to see who you know and who you may have forgotten. Appleton City Museum thanks Farmhouse Restaurant for its support in honoring ACHS Alumni.
Appleton City First Baptist invites the widows of our community to a fun day “Young at Heart Widows Event” on April 23 at 11:00 am. They'll meet at church for lunch, and then head to Powell's Botanical Gardens in Kingsville. This is a free event. They only ask you for an RSVP until April 11. David Kelsay, the Republican nominee for state representative's Campaign Kick-off, will be at the Clinton Senior Center (970 E Sedalia, Clinton) on Friday, April 22, at 6 PM. Dinner starts at 6:30. Food will be provided by Kickin' Chicken. Featured Gospel Music with Kevin Griffey and Enid Rauh.
There was a typo in last week's Little Apple. In the school board election, Campos got 154 votes, not 144.
