An Xbox fan notices there are many hidden codes in the new Xbox Game Pass promotional video, with some offering free Game Pass codes.

Microsoft is known for giving away free codes for Xbox Game Pass Through console bundles, livestreams, and promotional videos, with some players getting into the subscription service thanks to these giveaways. One Xbox fan has noticed that Xbox included multiple codes hidden throughout its promotional video for Xbox Game Pass that was released yesterday.
Reddit user GetVladimir recently posted an image showing part of the Xbox Game Pass promotional video added to the Xbox YouTube channel on April 14 that centers on an elevator door through the lens of a security camera. The screenshot includes two codes, one in the top-left portion of the screen that is “XGP-N0P3. CNTLVL: 04.” This is notable as the initial three letters stand for Xbox Game Pass, and P3 potentially relates to CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer, who goes by P3 on Twitter. The rest of this code is currently unknown, but the other one is of much more interest to Xbox enthusiasts as it seems to be a free digital code.
The image shared by GetVladimir points to one of several moments in the Xbox Game Pass promotional video that flashes important codes on the screen in between gameplay of Xbox Game Pass titles and a cryptic message about spies and codes. The 25-character code shown here is for two months of Xbox Game Pass according to one of the responses to GetVladimir, but most Xbox fans who talked about their attempts to enter the codes from this video were met with a message that they’ve been redeemed. Xbox players from other regions have noted that these codes instead say the codes haven’t been activated yet which may suggest that if one is persistent enough, it might eventually be redeemable.
The first free Xbox Game Pass code in the promotional video appears after the voice-over says, “Let’s get started,” with a code appearing underneath a time stamp similar to the one shown in GetVladimir’s screenshot. YouTube viewers who typically watch videos with subtitles may need to disable them in order to see some codes as the one featured under a safe is blocked by the text box. Another code that flashes on the screen as a safe door is open is revealed five characters at a time in the security camera filter, making it harder for Xbox fans to redeem it without pausing the video like other codes in the ten-minute clip.
With how many numbers are shown from the beginning of the Xbox Game Pass promotional video to its conclusion, there may be some that eagle-eyed Xbox fans can still redeem after close observation. Because GetVladimir has admitted that the codes they entered have been used, the Xbox fan who pointed this detail out to Reddit may have left empty-handed. Although one Reddit user has stated that their code rewarded them with two months of Game Pass. In addition, it’s currently unclear if some codes were digital games or if they were all for Xbox Game Pass.
